We have returned to Venice after three years and are finding new and exciting things to do. The city has constant variety and we are making most of our three days here. We are going to leave the tour group to its own devices and go alone to the Peggy Guggenheim Museum and a tour of the La Fenice opera house.
The time here has been filled with lots more paintings and old churches but we have also found the time to do a little shopping. We have bought some gorgeous Murano glass and John very cleverly found a material shop ansd I have just bought a beautiful length of silk for the wedding. I will be complimentary but different!

happy birthday dad for last saturday sounds like u r having fun....
warm and busy here.. although not nearly as warm as tuscancy, venice etc !
How very exciting about getting some material for the wedding! With only three months and 3 days it is fast approaching. And when everyone comments on the lovely material, you can simply reply, "this, oh yes... I bought that while we were in Venice!"
Keep enjoying yourselves and keep your wallets close.
Your journey sounds almost as good as going to Buln Buln, without the euros. We are delighted to see that you are having such a wonderful time - sorry that you were missed Pavarotti.
You will be pleased to know that I have been into the archives. Both of you in 1970 were just as sophisticated as you are now and almost as travel savvy!
I've finally worked out how to post comments! It sounds as though all is loverlea - keep up the good work. Libby is our new member of the family. She can't wait to meet Uncle John and Aunty Chritine when they come back from seeing all those pictures. Libby is ten weeks old and is eating us out of home, having enjoyed two novels and a cane dog-basket this week. Libby the Lollopin' Labrador is honey-cream.
have fun!
