TRAVELLING IN THE NORTH

No photos again - the instructions were all in Greek!!

Today has been another fascinating day . We spent the day at a place called Vegina. There are the most extraordinary underground tombs - date back to about 350 BCE and yet were only finally discovered in 1977. The major tomb is that of Philip II of Macedonia who's greatest claim to fame is that he was Alexander the Great's father.

The gold artifacts were just unbelievably beautiful.

We are now at a place called Kalambaka that is jumpin off place for the "Hanging Monasteries of Meteora" We go there tomorrow. Hopefully some photos of this!

Let us k now what's happening - speak soon. C and J

Tobin Brothers have been cruising around Mornington in style and loving the new car! Hamish has adjusted well to his new seat. We went to swimming on Wednesday and as there were only 10 of us it was a great small group compared to having the masses there! Thursday Hamish came with me to the dentist for a filling and Friday we stayed close to home. This was in preparation for his big night home alone with his dad while all the mums from mothers' group enjoyed dinner out at Kirks. Most enjoyable and both boys behaved well at home alone! Tomorrow we are heading to JZand T's for an early dinner with JJJ which will be lovely. Look forward to hearing more of your travel adventures, LR and H xx

Loving hearing your goss. Glad you were able to dodge the ice covered ash on the way over. Well done!!
Also looking forward to seeing some photos.
I'm drooling thinking about all the fried goat's cheese you must be feasting on....
All's well in Chelsea; Toby is having lots of fun on Thursdays with his Grannie! Toby & I enjoyed our girls' weekend (...well, girls +Toby) in Daylesford whilst Jeremy did the Oxfam walk. Toby joined in on the cheese platters and ate smoked salmon, terrine, stuffed mini peppers, marinated olives, triple cheese....but his favorite was the duck pate!! Certainly this is confirmation (if we needed any) on who his grandsire is!!
